Back to Alumni Home

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

We are in the process of rebuilding this alumni website. The new and improved site will include a password protected area which will enable you to view profiles of friends and send messages to classmates.

The really exciting addition will be a JOB BOARD exclusively for PMI graduates that will even allow you to receive email alerts of job opportunities in your area.

Keep checking back for our new "look" and new opportunities. We hope to launch the new site later this summer!

PMI Credits Count Towards A Degree!

Did you know PMI has formed agreements with several institutions which allow you to transfer your credits earned at PMI? Take a look at the following college options – many even have a specific person set up to take PMI calls and questions. Give them a call and continue learning!

Chadron State College PMI graduates can transfer up to 70 credits from an associate’s degree or up to 36 credits from a certificate program toward fulfillment of a Bachelor of Science degree. Chadron will transfer PMI’s credits and custom design a program for PMI graduates at a very reasonable cost per credit. Courses are offered online or on-ground in convenient 8-week terms to provide freedom and flexibility for working students. Chadron’s PMI Contact Person: Jodi Banzhaf 1-800-600-4099 or elrep@csc.edu

Grand Canyon University PMI graduates can transfer up to 84 credits to GCU from both degree and certificate programs. Several bachelor degree options are available, many specific to fields of study at PMI. These degrees can be obtained via online or on-ground programs. Grand Canyon’s PMI Contact: Denise Tolitsky 602-677-7789 or dtolitsky@gcu.edu

Montana State University MSU will transfer up to 36 PMI credits and provides online degree completion opportunities for PMI graduates from degree programs. The learning format includes 8-week sessions of 6 credits each and lets students complete a bachelor’s degree within 2 years while carrying a part-time workload. Montana State’s PMI Contact: Amy Beatty 406-896-5998 or abeatty@msubillings.edu

University of Phoenix UOP transfers up to 60 credits from PMI’s associate degree programs for their Bachelor of Science degree. Contact your PMI Placement Director for a regional contact person. Contact University of Phoenix: 886-766-0766

Current and Future Online Courses at PMI

Anticipating the educational trend in this new century, PMI launched its online education department in March of 2006. The first program to be offered online was the Advanced Placement Track Radiography (APTR) program. The education department had recognized a need for individuals who had completed radiography training in the military or overseas, but were not eligible to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification examination. This is also an ideal program for students who have graduated from traditional R.T. programs, but are no longer eligible to take the ARRT exam because of lack of success in passing the exam or because the deadline for taking it has passed. All course work is presented online over three 16 week semesters. The students will also perform clinical externship in their area of the country during the last two semesters.

Plans are being made for future online programs including: Billing & Coding and Respiratory Therapy courses.

New Nursing Programs

Albuquerque has followed in Mesa's footsteps by adding a brand new nursing program in 2007. We are hoping to add a nursing program at our Tucson campus.
The Mesa campus recently graduated their very first RN class to rave reviews! Our first graduating class has performed so well that it prompted the Associate Director of Education and Evidence Based Regulation, Pam Randolph of the Arizona State Board of Nursing, to write in an email sent out to every Nursing Program Director in the state of Arizona, "Special mention goes to Pima Medical Institute with 100% on their first every NCLEX RN [exam]".

Seattle Campus Adds VT and PTA Programs!

In 2007 the Seattle campus started a brand new Veterinary Technician program and they begin 2008 with a new Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
