What's New at PMI

Medical Assistant Program Modifications
	March 26, 2009
	We are implementing changes to our Medical Assistant program curriculum this year. The MA program is being modified to provide longer hours in laboratory, prepare for changes in ABHES Medical Assisting standards, and provide students with an opportunity to learn Electronic Health Records. New classes are as follows: Introduction to Insurance and Coding, Business Writing and EHR, Clinical Aspects of Coding & Billing, Medical Law and Ethics, and Communication. PMI will no longer be offering the MAA program and both our new Administrative Billing and Coding Program (see story: Changes to PMI’s Medical Coding & Billing Program) and the Medical Assistant Program will share the same first Professional Sequence of courses. Check with your Campus for the date of implementation of these changes.
